Phalaenopsis is one of the easiest orchids to grow. Native to Southeast Asia to the Philippines, New Guinea and northern Australia
Light: Phal. requires low light. It can be grown in east facing window; for west or south facing, a sheer curtain is required.
Watering: How often to water your orchid will depend on the growing medium. It is best to water in the morning. Place the plant in the sink and use tepid water. Let the water run through the plant for a minute or so. Be sure to let the plant drain completely. If any water remains in the crown (where the leaves join in the center) use a paper towel to blot the water to avoid crown rot.
Temperature: For this group are generally considered warm growers.
Fertilize once a month.
