Cattleyas originate from Central and South America. Their blooms can last for several weeks to months.
Light: To grow well and to flower consistently, cattleyas require a good amount of light. The bright light of an east or west window is ideal; south windows can also be used if shaded with a sheer curtain.
Watering: Watering once a week to ten days is sufficient for large cattleyas; seedlings and miniatures need water every five to seven days.
Temperature: For this group are generally considered warm growers.
Fertilize: Once a week (1/4 strength)
